Fall Out Boy defend Courtney Love's search for missing Malaysian Airline plane

The Internet loves to make fun of people, so when Courtney Love attempted to work out what happened to the missing Malaysia Airlines jet, everyone was armed with jokes aimed at the singer. But Fallout Boy's Patrick Stump has stepped up to defend Love, who collaborated with Fall Out Boy on the band's 2013 album, Save Rock And Roll.

As NME points out, Love weighed in on the search for the missing jet earlier this week and posted an annotated screen grab of what she believed to be an oil slick and remains of a plane, along with the exact coordinates of the wreckage.

Stump told Gigwise that he thought it would be "the greatest thing ever" if she was the one to solve the mystery. He explained that Love probably did her research before posting the picture.

"The crazy thing about Courtney is she's actually very very sharp with a lot of her observations. It's just that she can also be wild and crazy or whatever. It kind of flips," Stump told them, adding, "I genuinely wouldn't be surprised if at the end of the day she goes home, puts on her reading glasses and goes through all this data. There's the company that's been collecting all this data on the radar pings and she's going through there and she's like: 'I got it!'"

Despite Love's efforts, the investigation is currently ongoing.
