Billboard Hot 100 Festival has unveiled the official aftermovie for its inaugural edition just over a month ago at Nikon Jones Beach Theater on Long Island. The film is short and sweet, flipping between action shots from various artists who performed including Nicky Minaj, Skrillex, Justin Bieber, Jason Derulo, Axwell / Ingrosso, Lil Wayne, Kygo and many more.
Coming in at just 2 minutes and 32 seconds, the clip does not overwhelm you with long shots from the grounds or gratuitous action shots from the stage. Just the right amount of FOMO was captured from each day of action on Long Island.
The video starts during the day with cameos and actions shows with the likes of The Chainsmokers, Halsey, ZZ Ward and others as the Billboard mixes in some crowd shots and smiling faces from those presumably not locked out of the crowded amphitheater or at the two side stages. Timelapses take viewers into the night where the production with Justin Bieber, The Weeknd and Axwell / Ingrosso comes alive and the festival comes to a close as Skrillex and the Canadian singer came together to perform their hit single "Where Are Ü Now" live.
Watch the aftermovie below and check out our coverage of the festival here, including various interviews with artists who performed at the festival like Party Thieves, Matoma and ZZ Ward.
We look forward to next year, which according to sources will take place just off site from the Jones Beach Theater in a field not too far away.
