Miley Cyrus stopped by Jimmy Fallon's Tonight Show on Thursday night to detail her impending Saturday Night Live hosting duties, her latest album (Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz) and an upcoming tour with the Flaming Lips.
Dressed head to toe in a yellow with a bunny-encouraged headband, the Bangerz singer detailed that the rainbow is her favorite color before continuing to discuss her opinions on Saturday Night Live. The former Disney Channel start noted that "it was weird" performing on the SNL 40th anniversary show. "It was kind of weird. I was sitting there and was 20 feet, 15 feet from Leonardo DiCaprio sitting there with his mom and he was hitting a vap[or] pen, but it wasn't him that was making me nervous. I was feeling this emotion because there's like an etiquacy when we're there, you need to pass that sh8t, Leo, and he never did," she explained. "So that was weird to me."
As The Hollywood Reporter notes, she continued to reveal that DiCaprio was oddly staring at her while she was performing and admitted that nerves definitely got to her as she covered a Paul Simon song with the legendary signer songwriter being in the very same room--talk about awkward.
"I was the only chick, I was the one - girl - that wasn't older," she continued explaining of the anniversary performance. "Besides Kanye, but I mean even Kanye's kind of old, compared to me, but he's about to be our future president, so I shouldn't say too much."
The duo chatted about Cyrus' latest free album that she surprised the world with at the end of her MTV Music Video Awards hosting duties and the performance of her new track, "Dooo It!" She then detailed that she'll hit the road later in the year with her great friend Wayne Coyne and the Flaming Lips, Entertainment Weekly reports.
"No one can really be mad at a gift, so I feel like you can really do what you want and say, 'well that was a gift.,'" she said of the cost-free album. Her relationship with Coyne and the Lips has only blossomed over the last few years, as Cyrus often makes visible on her Instagram. The musicians who are featured on Cyrus' new album previously teamed up for a rendition of the Beatles "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" and the two singers even got matching tattoos.
The "Wrecking Ball" singer is slated to perform and host Saturday's season premiere of Saturday Night Live.
