After ending their two year marriage just a month ago, Avril Lavigne and Nickelback front man, Chad Kroeger, have uploaded a photo together while recording in the studio despite their recent break up.
The "Complicated" singer and Kroeger married in July 2013 and in the same year, released a track titled "Let Me Go" which played on the growth of their relationship, NME notes. However, their musical connection and two year marriage couldn't salvage what went awry. The "I'm With You" singer took to Instagram Saturday afternoon to post a picture of herself with a guitar in hand and a traditional cowboy hat atop her head--nothing too out of the ordinary, that is, until you read the caption.
The captions read: "YeeHaw! Writing with Chad today" and "Back where it all started..."
Comments from fans and passerbys alike flooded the singer's photo as most were elated to see that the two could resolve whatever issues they had, able to come to well enough terms to continue making music with one another. "It's so good to know you're still friends," one follower said. Another wrote, "Yes ya'll seem well suited for each other."
It shouldn't be that big of a surprise to fans, however. During their initial split on September 2, the former couple announced their separation, making it clear that there was still love between them. The two singers said "I Do" in July of 2013 while surrounded by a small number of their closest friends and family members in a 14th century castle in France, MTV News notes.
"Through not only the marriage, but the music as well, we've created many unforgettable moments," Lavigne posted about the "Photograph" singer on Instagram. "We are still and forever will be, the best of friends, and will always care deeply for each other."
Lavigne recently made a pit stop on Taylor Swift's 1989 tour to perform "Complicated" and recently revealed that she's been suffering from Lyme Disease. She's since started to bounce back from the draining disease, declaring: "I'm on my way to good health."
