LISTEN: Ariana Grande teases new single 'They Don't Understand' on LiveStream after Chris Brown single delayed

Ariana Grande's highly anticipated duet with Chris Brown may be delayed, but new music from the Yours Truly singer is still on its way. In a recent LiveStream video put on YouTube last week, Grande played 30 seconds of a new single "They Don't Understand."

"Then they try to tell me who I am / They don't understand, they don't understand, no," Grande can be heard singing in the little snippet.

Musically, the song doesn't deviate much from the original sound of Grande's debut album Yours Truly. A simplistic, '90s throwback beat decorates the background of the song while Grande's breathy, soprano tones float over the surface.

As always, she seems to have a few problems enunciating in the song, making the lyrics difficult to understand, but this song is still a light and slightly sexy pop R&B tune... or at least what Grande is allowed to play sounds that way.

"I'm not allowed to play that much of it. I feel like I want to though. OK, that's it. I can't play anymore or I'll get in trouble," the singer sheepishly said after the snippet.

It's unconfirmed whether of not "They Don't Understand" will be the lead single from Grande's second studio album, reportedly due out in 2014.

After her track "Don't Be Gone Too Long" with Chris Brown was delayed (due to Brown's jail time), Grande promised her followers on Twitter that the lead single from her album will now be released sooner than planned.
