Sean Combs has been known by many names: Puff Daddy, Puffy, P. Diddy and plain Diddy. And yesterday it seemed as if he was cycling back to his '90s moniker once again as Sean "Puff Daddy" Combs.
As Radio.com reported, the name change appearted to come along with the announcement of his first album in four years, MMM, in which he is credited as Puff Daddy.
However, Combs took to Twitter to clear up the confusion. "For the record, I did not change my name. I always have been and always will be PUFF DADDY! :) Be cool Man lol ." And a few hours later he tweeted, "DIDDYORDADDY???"
MMM does not currently have a release date; however, Combs released a teaser clip for the album's latest single, "Big Homie," which will drop March 31.
The single features help from Rick Ross and French Montana, who announced recently via Instagram that he'd be producing the album.
The clip opens with an aerial shot of Times Sqaure then cuts to a slow-motion shot of him walking through a grocery store. Then we see him driving around through Harlem with Meek Mill in a Rolls Royce Wraith, donning a fur coat and diamonds. He proclaims: "You could go to any hood / bet they know me / Rose gold pinky ring / master Rollie."
