Jake Bugg announces 'Messed Up Kids' EP with three new songs, releases music video [WATCH]

British guitarist/singer Jake Bugg just released his second studio album Shangri La last November, but he's already readying a new release. Today (March 25), Bugg announced a release date for a new EP, Messed Up Kids and dropped the music video for the four-song collection's title track.

According to NME, Messed Up Kids will drop in the UK on Monday, May 12 (giving a logical May 13 release date for the US). The EP will contain "Messed Up Kids" from Shangri La as well as three new tracks.

1. "Messed Up Kids"
2. "Change in the Air"
3. "Strange Creatures"
4. "The Odds"

Alongside the new EP announcement, yesterday (March 24), Bugg released a new music video for "Messed Up Kids."

The black and white video begins with an interview of some messed up kid, discussing the background of his life and why kids end up, well, messed up. The clip then circles around a city block that mixes together photographic elements, real time video and slowed down moving images.

To fit in with both the song's title and lyrical theme, scenes of messed up kids in all varieties are depicted. There's the young mother, the drugged out children, the fighting hooligans and the seemingly young prostitutes and their older clientele.

In the middle of it all, of course, is a stone-faced Bugg.
