Japanese pianist Yoshiki Hayashi battles holographic version of himself...Who should do it next?

Japanese pianist Yoshiki Hayashi is a record-breaking artist known for his onstage flair and ability to blend classical music with elements of hair metal. During his South by South West performance, he battled a formidable opponent: himself (well, a hologram of himself at least). Besides resurrecting Tupac, this piano battle is one of the coolest uses of the holographic technology that we’ve seen (via HuffPost).

Which got us thinking: Who else would we like to see battle themselves in hologram form? We’ve come up with a list of four other that we’d like to see battle their virtual selves on stage. Vote for your pick below or suggest others in our comments section.

Kanye West: West is famous for thinking he is god’s gift to the world. What would happen if he faced himself in a rap battle? What if digital Ye is better than physical Ye? We’d love to see this go down.

Kendrick Lamar: On his “Control” verse, Lamar basically says that he is his only competition. A head-to-(virtual)head rap battle with himself would be insane. K.Dot vs. K.Bot anyone?

Eddie Van Halen: Van Halen is known as one of the best living guitarists of all time. He is a master of riffs and despite getting up there in age, he can still kill it. Seeing him battle himself on stage would be pretty incredible.

Neil Peart: Another living legend, no Rush show is complete without an epic Peart drum solo. Seeing Peart battle Peart would be outrageous.
