Money isn't the only thing on British singer-songwriter Sam Smith's mind. He's also quite the romantic. Today (March 25), in anticipation of his debut album In The Lonely Hour, Smith released the new track "Stay With Me."
Rooted in the very basic elements of soul and a touch of gospel, Smith heartbreakingly croons to his mystery woman that he wants nothing more than for her to, well, stay with him.
Notably more mid-tempo than "Money On My Mind," "Stay With Me" takes the gospel elements of an epic-sounding church organ and a backing choir to help give this song an added emotional gut punch. This guy is singing his heart out, and the blend of proper raw talent and love is undeniable and captivating
With "Money On My Mind" and In The Lonely Hour's other released track "Lay Me Down," this debut album is looking to be one of 2014's strongest.

Before the release of his new album, Smith will be taking on Saturday Night Live on Saturday (March 29) with host Louis CK.
