Much like the Billboard 200 chart, the top spots on the Digital Downloads chart continue to be dominated by familiar faces.
Pharrell Williams extends his streak of topping the chart with "Happy" to six weeks, with 370,000 downloads sold. It doesn't seem like he's going to cough the spot up next week either, granted a surprise Beyoncé single doesn't drop. This week's sales total was actually a slight increase from last week, indicating the song won't see a huge drop in next week's sales either.
Nos. 2 and 3 are also repeats from last week. John Legend comes in at the former, selling another 224,000 copies of "All of Me." Jason Derulo takes the no. 3 spot by moving another 188,000 copies of "Talk Dirty." Those totals represent a slight increase for Legend and a slight decrease for Derulo.
Derulo may need to watch out however. Idina Menzel is quickly approaching, as she placed no. 4 this week by selling 167,000 downloads of "Let It Go." That's a sizable jump from last week, a 37 percent jump in sales. Whether she can maintain those numbers is debatable however. The increase may correlate strongly with Frozen's release on home video last week. Katy Perry and "Dark Horse" inherit the no. 5 spot after Menzel's success, selling 150,000 downloads in the process.
Aloe Blacc also saw a sizable jump in sales for his track "The Man." Blacc performed on The Voice and Good Morning America during the week, which may have inspired those shows' viewers to buy in. The song received a 30 percent sales bump, selling 126,000 copies. Meanwhile, the viral power of The Chainsmokers' "#Selfie" may have peaked, as the track finally saw a drop in sales (101,000 copies sold) as it slid to no. 7.
Bastille and "Pompeii" continued its slow-going decrease in downloads, moving 98,000 units and settling at no. 8. Lil Jon and DJ Snake saw a slight increase in sales for "Turn Down For What" (89,000 downloads), and kept its no. 9 spot from last week. One song made its Top 10 debut this week: Florida Georgia Line's "This Is How We Roll" (featuring Luke Bryan) placed no. 10 with 78,000 downloads sold. It was still a 2 percent drop in sales from last week for the group, but enough to break into the Top 10.
