Jake Stanczak, better known to the world as the producer, DJ Kill The Noise has released his debut album Occult Classic. As someone who has cut his teeth in the burgeoning dubstep scene in 2011-2012 and managed to remain relevant afterwards, Kill The Noise has used the full-length format to experiment with a host of interesting collaborators like R. City (Rock City), Dillon Francis, Feed Me, Tommy Trash, AWOLNATION and others.
The album has a bit of everything from the last few years of KTN discography, as well as, a few new surprises from him. The heavy emphasis on collaboration adds some new ideas into the mix for the LP. "Dolphin On Wheels" with Dillon Francis channels both producer's humorous natures into a track that features dolphin sounds over a Jersey club beat.
"I Do Coke" with Feed Me is a drug-fueled exploration of a woman's (but really could be any guy as well) mind who's only desire is more coke over a chugging underground beat. There are plenty of the growling dubstep beats and hip-hop-influenced trap rhythms that have started to permeate into his music lately.
Stream Occult Classic below and purchase it on iTunes, Beatport or Amazon.
Kill The Noise has been touring in support of the album across North America and has already hit cities like Washington, DC and Atlanta, but will now get to other spots in Denver, Los Angeles, Austin and elsewhere. See the full list of dates below and get your tickets here.
