After getting premiered at Ultra Music Festival, the elusive ID from Hardwell and Jake Reese titled "Mad World" has been released. It is a special one not just because it is a new original track from Hardwell, but also "Mad World" is the 200th release on the "Survivors" DJ's label Revealed Recordings.
"Mad World" is similar to his song alongside Chris James "Young Again" that was the first official single for Hardwell's debut album United We Are, but is different enough to stand as its own as a loose single. The male vocal of Dutch, singer songwriter and topline writer Jake Reese works effortlessly over the production handiwork of Hardwell.
Reese has also worked with other producers like Arston and Lush & Simon.
Hardwell then jumps in with a cheery and uplifting melody a strong bass line, before turning things back over to the Reese's guitar.
Hardwell has had a career year. He released his debut artist album United We Are that was met with mixed reviews, but has helped fill out a discography that was shifting away from more beat-driven dance floor tracks to mainstage anthems and the occasional radio-friendly hit.
He has continued his I AM Hardwell tour, selling out arenas all over the globe. The superstar Dutch DJ just released his collaboration with Armin van Buuren, "Off The Hook," which is slated to appear on van Buuren's forthcoming artist album Embrace.
This is the 200th release for Hardwell's Revealed Recordings, which has grown from a pet project used to release his own music and a few of his Dutch friends like Dannic and Dyro, to one of the powerhouse independent dance imprints in the world.
