It's been a long road for Rihanna's new album ANTI, but now it finally seems to have a release date. After a bumpy road, which included the release of the underwhelming singles "FourFiveSeconds," "B*tch Better Have My Money" and "American Oxygen," the follow-up to Unaplogetic is reported to arrive next month.
HITS Daily Double reports that ANTI, Rihanna's eighth studio album, is expected to be released on Nov. 6.
Citing "reliable sources," Rihanna's team decided to go to her go-to month of November for her first new album in three years (her last five albums have come out that month) and also chose to launch the LP before a series of big releases at the end of the year. Justin Bieber's Purpose and One Direction's Made in the A.M. are due for a Nov. 13 release. Adele's long-awaited third studio album is also rumored for a November release just one week later.
Rihanna's Nov. 6 release date, however, has yet to be confirmed.
It's been a long road toward ANTI. Rihanna first teased her new album, which fans dubbed "R8," at the beginning of the year. She then released a series of singles, though none seemed to have quite the effect that Rihanna and her team wanted, sending her back to the studio.
Then, earlier this month, Rihanna announced the title of her new album and unveiled its artwork at a gallery event in Los Angeles. The artwork features a little girl holding a baloon, splattered with red paint and covered in braille poetry.
