Justin Bieber is steadily working towards pushing his new album, Purpose, and is now set to release a new collaborative track with Skrillex entitled "Sorry," which is due to premiere this week. This is not the first time that mostly pop and R&B singer Bieber has worked with an electronic artist and his new album will also feature "Where R U Now?" by the Biebs, Skrillex and Diplo.
Billboard reported that Bieber posted to his Instagram account that the new track will be available in just five days, as well as including a link to pre-order his new album. It's a refreshing change from the controversy that has surrounded the singer since nude photos of his vacation in Bora Bora were published on the New York Daily News without his consent. Bieber also just (perhaps purposefully) released a collaboration with Selena Gomez to head off the scandal.
Bieber's collaboration with Gomez leaked on Ovo Sound Radio and the interwebs were certainly buzzing about it, especially fans of the once called "Jelena" couple. According to The Huffington Post, the song remains untitled but some websites are reporting that it is called "Strong." The vocals from the two singers appear to be about the failed relationship and how they wish that things had been different. Neither Bieber or Gomez has commented on the song yet or it's meaning although The Huffington Post has contacted them.
The lyrics are comprised of ("I'm just wishing you were better at communication / Wishing I was better at the distance") and certainly seem to allude to their on and off relationship that stretched over a few years time. The song snippet was released soon after Gomez's new album, Revival, and a month before Purpose is due to drop, which is an interesting factor. It remains to be seen whether this one will appear on his new album, but "Sorry" with Skrillex is sure to.
