Last night (October 21), during her 1989 World Tour performance in Greensboro, NC, Taylor Swift reverted to her country music roots and brought Miranda Lambert out on stage to perform Lambert's hit song "Little Red Wagon" together.
The song, which is a cut from singer Audra Mae, appears on the country singer's 2012 album Platinum. In an interview with Billboard, Lambert had elaborated on how she fell in love with the song. "There's this girl named Audra Mae, and I kind of stalked her when I heard that song," Lambert said. "It's such a cool song. I love attitude songs, but they can get old if you don't do 'em right. I don't want to keep doing the same type of attitude song, I've got to change them up. I can't wait to do this one live. It was so fun to cut and such a fun thing to do in the studio. It felt like me."
Thanks to Swift, you can watch a couple of clips of the performance via her Instagram account. This was far from the pop icon's first special guest, in fact, between her and the Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl, there won't be anybody left to surprise anyone with by the end of the year.
The first clip depicts the former wife of Blake Shelton giving it all she has, swaying her hair and fiercely singing the catchy lyrics. "Oooooooh, aaaaah," which Swift wrote as the clip's caption to denote the chorus the two were sharing together on stage.
So far on her world tour, Swift has performed with Mick Jagger, Justin Timberlake, Steven Tyler, Selena Gomez, Keith Urban and Alanis Morissette. Most recently, the singer recruited Ellie Goulding for a live rendition of "Love Me Like You Do" during the Texas stop on her tour.
