This news doesn't mean Messi is ready to leave Barcelona and La Liga - we're simply hearing reports that he's ready to open the discussion surrounding transfers and offers. Plus, this report comes from The Sun (via The Telegraph), so we should basically just figure that Messi said "sure" once when a Manchester United associate asked if he wanted to hear what they could offer him.

We recently reported on the possibility of Bundesliga star player Thomas Muller of Bayern Munich coming to the Premier League, featuring the footballer explaining why he'd consider it: money. Read more on that news right here!

Considering just how comfortable this German star is in his homeland, is money enough of a reason for Messi to leave his beloved Barcelona, the city that took him and his family in so long ago?

"I don't want to look too far ahead," Messi told Yahoo! Sports' Guillem Balague when asked if he'd consider playing for another league. "I live for the moment and at this moment I am with Barcelona in the Spanish League where I have made my living and where I live very well."

So Lionel Messi is "ready to listen" to offers from the Premier League, but we probably have a few years to wait before he heads to England - or even thoroughly considers it!
