Washington Redksins wide receiver DeSean Jackson suffered a break-in at his LA home this week, and now authorities are saying the intruders were affiliated with a gang. Reports suggest that four or five assailants broke into Jackson's home and faught with the six people that were inside. Jackson, who has missed the majority of the 2015 NFL season with a hamstring injury suffered in week one, was not one of the fighters in the attack.
According to TMZ, Jackson's publicist has already responded to the news by letting fans know that he was nowhere near his LA home when the home invasion took place.
"DeSean is getting ready to be a father for the first time," the publicist said. "He's currently in Virginia practicing with the team. He had no knowledge of the incident until a phone call last evening. It's a legal matter. We're waiting for police to let us know more about the incident."
Jackson grew up in LA and has admitted in the past to knowing gang members. In fact, some speculation suggested the Philadelphia Eagles cut the player due to his affiliations, though he has denied this.
Either way, a home invasion is very scary, no matter to whom it happens. Luckily, Jackson and his family were with his team, hopefully preparing for a return to the field sometime soon.
