Rough Trade NYC to host LCD Soundsystem's 'Long Goodbye' exhibition

It's been three years since LCD Soundsystem played its farewell show at Madison Square Garden. Although the band is no longer together, fans can relive their concert experience via the dance-rock crew's live album, The Long Goodbye: LCD Soundsystem Live at Madison Square Garden.

In anticipation for the release, record store Rough Trade NYC is hosting an LCD Soundsystem interactive gallery beginning Monday and running through May 7. As Rolling Stone reports, the exhibit will display — via videos, photos and music — the "sounds, sights and emotions" of the band's nearly four-hour farewell show, which took place April 2, 2011.

Fans can play advance copies of the box set on turntables provided at the gallery. Never-before-seen 4-by-6 prints by photographer Ruvan Wijesooriya will also be on display. The photos are available for the taking with new photos being replenished weekly.

The vinyl release of the box set is due out on Record Store Day, April 19. It contains, as Rolling Stone notes, "every note the band played that night on five LPs."
