Taylor Swift Strips Down "Out of the Woods" to Celebrate 1 Year of '1989' [WATCH]

After taking the world by storm and releasing hit after smash hit for an entire year, Taylor Swift rejoiced in her 1-year anniversary of her wildly successful album, 1989, with a stripped down, acoustic performance of "Out of the Woods." The "Blank Space" singer sat down at the piano at the Grammy Museum's Clive Davis Theater for a unique performance and to talk to fans about sticky relationships.

Before introducing the song, Swift addressed the audience and explained that the impending track detailed a relationship ridden with anxiety. "I'm going to play you a song that I wrote about a relationship that I was in that the number one feeling I felt in the whole relationship was anxiety because it felt very fragile. It felt very tentative," she said.

"I think a lot of relationships can be solid, and that's what you hope for - solid and healthy - but that's not always what you get," the pop sensation continued. "And it doesn't mean that it's not special and extraordinary just to have a relationship that's fragile and somehow meaningful in that fragility."

Swift's live, acoustic rendition embodied the emotional meaning behind the song much more than the poppy album version of "Out of the Woods," co-written by Bleachers' Jack Antonoff, Entertainment Weekly notes. With just the support of a soft piano, Swift let her vocals command the short gig as she softly whispered the quick, repetitive lyrics of "Are we out of the woods yet?/ Are we out of the woods yet?/ Are we out of the woods yet?/ Are we out of the woods?/ Are we in the clear yet? /Are we in the clear yet?/ Are we in the clear yet?/ In the clear yet? Good."

Since 1989's debut, the "Bad Blood" singer has spent much of 2015 on tour supporting her latest solo venture. With a slew of international gigs ahead of her, Swift will conclude her star-studded North American tour on Halloween in Florida, reports Rolling Stone. With a tour that's boasted special performances by Justin Timberlake, Mick Jagger, Steven Tyler, Ellie Goulding and many more, it's difficult to fathom who the "Wildest Dreams" singer will bring to the stage for her closing show.
