Eminem has been making some boss moves lately and he´s bringing someone special along for his latest venture.
Vibe magazine reports that the Detroit ¨Rap God¨ has teamed up with legendary film maker Spike Lee for the visuals for "Headlights."
The track will serve as the next single from Eminem´s Marshall Mathers LP 2.
On Saturday, April 5, Eminem tweeted, "Spike came out to The D for the 'Headlights' video... Coming soon."
The footage was shot in Detroit. Em and Lee both posted photos on set of the new video.
Lee referred to the video as a ¨short film.¨
He sent out a tweet saying, ¨Detroit's Finest EMINEM And Me Working Together On His Short a Film.Historic. Who Woulda Thunk It.¨
¨Headlights¨ is indeed a track worthy of a short film. Throughout the track, Em is apologetic to his mother and expresses regret of their severed relationship.
It can almost be expected that this video will pull at your heartstrings.
Spike Lee is best known for classic films such as Do the Right Thing, Jungle Fever, School Daze and Malcolm X.
It was recently announced that Eminem will be headlining at this year´s Lollapalooza festival.
As previously reported, Em received top billing at the festival back in 2011.
Em is also gearing up for his upcoming The Monster Tour with Rihanna.
The collaborators will be performing together in Los Angeles, New Jersey and Eminem's hometown of Detroit this August.
