Back in 2012, Lady Gaga teased the possibility of putting out a second ARTPOP album, which would be more "experimental" than the more "commercial" first installment. The next year, she followed up on those plans, saying she was considering playing both albums on her forthcoming world tour. Now, Gaga says that fans can expect the sequel to drop "very soon," NME reports.
In an interview with American Top 40 (via NME), Gaga said she had enough material to release a new album, "I wrote a lot of songs when I was creating ARTPOP. When I was done working on them, I had a very specific idea of the concept for the first release of ARTPOP. ...There's a strong possibility I will release another volume of ARTPOP, and I'm really that it's soon."
Gaga's artRAVE World Tour kicks off in September in Antwerp, Belgium, and moves across Europe and the UK throughout fall 2014. Check out her tour schedule below, and let us know what you think of the possible forthcoming album in the comments section.
