Fans that have been waiting patiently for Kip Moore's new album will be waiting a little longer. The singer says it will be late summer before the new project hits the shelves.
While chatting with The Country Vibe on the red carpet at the ACM Awards this past weekend, Kip shared that the album isn't in the can yet, so there can still be some changes coming. "We now know exactly when the record’s comin; out and there still is time to change it up," he shared. "So I’ve still been writing a lot of stuff that I’m starting to really, really like, so it might change again. I just have to keep reminding myself that as long as I’ve lived with these songs, other people still haven’t heard them yet, so we’ll see."
In the meantime, his new single, "Dirt Road" will be heading to radio later this month. The song that he calls "a big underground thing with our fans" is not the norm, according to Moore. "It’s going to throw people for a loop because the title is misleading about how the song's gonna sound, what it’s gonna be talking about. It’s a very intense song I can’t wait for people to hear." For a man who wrote over 700 songs getting ready for this release, that's saying something!
