Glee actress Naya Rivera and husband Ryan Dorsey welcomed their first child well over a month ago. But, for a special "trick or treat" this year for Halloween, Rivera shared the first photo of her baby boy with her Instagram followers.
On Saturday, Oct. 31, Rivera posted a photo of baby Josey on her Instagram, flashing a big and adorable smile. The infant wore a skeleton onesie for Halloween.
According to Rolling Out, the couple initially kept the details of their pregnancy underwraps but eventually revealed the news. In a blog post, the 28-year-old described her pregnancy encounters and how she was overwhelmed with excitement to be approaching her due date.
E! Online reported on her blog post from her third trimester, where the actress wrote, "After months of changes, anticipation, and excitement it's finally here-the third trimester!" She spoke on how her back was in pain and she had reached a weight that she never thought she would see when standing on the scale, but ultimately, she was anxious for the arrival her baby boy with her husband, Dorsey, who she said was a big help in getting things together for the arrival of their new bundle of joy and the baby shower.
Rivera blogged on how important a baby shower is for expecting moms and how grateful she was for all the wonderful gifts she received.
A baby shower is one of those events that a girl dreams about her whole life, or at least I did," she wrote in her blog, according to E. "...Let's be honest, baby gifts are the best! The absolute overload of cuteness that comes with baby clothes, gear, and toys is enough to make you forget that the heels you're wearing at the shower are leaving 2-inch deep indents in your skin."
Rivera, who formerly dated rapper Big Sean just months before her new relationship, has been married to 32-year-old husband Dorsey for one year. The couple married in a secret ceremony in July of 2014, in "Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, in front of close friends and family," according to Pop Sugar. She gave birth in September where she reportedly stated "It was a very easy pregnancy and birth," according to Us Weekly.
