Damon Albarn's forthcoming debut solo album is out this month, but that's not all he has been working on. In an interview with NME, he teased a few other projects.
First of all, he quelled rumors that Blur were never getting back together. "Everything is good between us all. I'm sure we'll play again at some point," he said. "It'd be mad to go the rest of our life and never play any of those songs again."
He added, "I said it's the last gig of a brilliant period we spent doing these gigs and we didn't want to sully it by going to something that was badly organized and where things weren't as they should have been."
As Pitchfork notes, Albarn also recently revealed the existence of unreleased Blur recordings and says he also has enough material to release a new Gorillaz album to follow up 2011's The Fall.
"That will almost definitely happen," he said to NME. "I could put a Gorillaz record out next week; I've got enough stuff I haven't finished."
As previously reported, Albarn also mentioned to NME the possibility of working with former Oasis frontman Noel Gallagher in the future.
For now, however, we have Albarn's Everyday Robots to look forward to, due out April 29.
