Curtains Collapse on Dave Grohl During Foo Fighters Gig in Amsterdam [WATCH]

Dave Grohl and company do their best to make each Foo Fighters gig a unique one, but during their Amsterdam performance and in the midst of Grohl's rock 'n' roll lyrics, fate slowly slipped out of the group's hands during a stage glitch. As the opening notes of fan-favorite "Everlong" roll out, the stage's curtain unexpectedly fell, completely engrossing Grohl in the darkness underneath.

As the song began, the curtain's cue came right on time, only it fell in an unintentional way. Instead of the curtain dropping in its routine manner, it adorned the former Nirvana drummer as Grohl continued his performance in the dark, UltimateClasicRock notes. Trudging on for about a minute, Grohl finally cut the song so the curtain catastrophe could be addressed. The crew diffused the issue by pulling the rogue curtain up, which left the Sonic Highways musicians available and uncovered, ready to execute "Everlong" once more. Like true professionals, the band didn't seem phased by the mishap but did seem eager to continue their performance.

"Sometimes," Grohl announced to the Amsterdam crowd in the video above, "it's the f-ed up things that make you remember the show for the rest of your life."

Grohl has been through his fair share of memorable shows, many having taken place in the last year. One can't forget the initial gig in Sweden where Grohl tumbled off stage, yielding the broken leg that defined the group's North American tour and the guitar-ridden throne he's sat upon since. The Foo Fighters have also shared the stage with classic rock legends, Queen's Roger Taylor and Led Zeppelin's John Paul Jones for a "superdupergroup" rendition of "Under Pressure."

The Foo's official website recently posted a picture of a countdown clock as fans rack their brains trying to figure out what it could mean. Perhaps a countdown to Sonic Highways 2 or the anticipated cast removal for Grohl?
