An arrest has been made in the stabbings case at Wu Tang Clan member RZA's home in New Jersey. The stabbings occurred in the wee hours of this past Saturday (Nov. 7) in Millstone Township. It remains unknown what led up to the disagreement that instigated the violent outburst. Reportedly, the two victims were treated at a local hospital and are expected to recover from the incident.
Billboard reported that the accused, Thomas Norman, has been charged with aggravated assault and weapons counts. Norman is a resident of Englishtown and had his bail set at $120,000, and it is currently unknown whether or not he has an attorney.
When the incident first occurred, it was reported that the New Jersey state police were called to a residence at Deer Trail Drive at 1:18 AM. Sergeant Gregory Williams, who served as a representative for the department, confirmed that when they arrived, two men were found brutally stabbed.
Williams further said that both men sustained grave injuries from the stabbing and were taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center to be treated. RZA, real name Robert Fitzgerald Diggs, was reported as not being a patient at the time that both victims were checked in. He did not expose any more details at the time and it has yet to be officially confirmed that the Deer Trail Drive residence is in fact Digg's. Property records show that the founder of Wu Tang Clan owns the residence.
RZA has been under investigation for violence in the past. Recently unearthed FBI documents show that both RZA and Raekwon of Wu Tang clan were at one time under investigation for their involvement in a murder plot. It was alleged that the murder of a 17-year-old committed by Staten Island drug dealer Anthony Christian was set up by two members of the rap group.
