When it comes to seeking business advice from a female standpoint, some obvious choices of interest might include Oprah, Ariana Huffington, Sheryl Sandburg, or Shonda Rhimes. Well, there's a new voice looking to offer women advice and tips about entrepreneurial efforts and getting ahead in their careers. In a recent interview with Time, model Amber Rose spoke of easily seducing men for money. Her comments have generated a lot of backlash on Twitter for their controversial undertones.
Promoting her new book, How to Be a Bad B***h, Rose brings a different outlook on achieving both financial and business success. The 32-year-old Philadelphia native believes her rocky upbringing and hustler spirit would act as a guiding force for the newest generation of leaders and moneymakers.
"As women, we’re fortunate enough to use our seductive skills in order to be able to get money from our significant others," Rose told Time. "I also talk about seduction in the book. A lot of women don’t know how to seduce a man."
When asked how women can begin climbing the ladder in their careers, she offered some more conventional advice like finding mentors in the field, saving money, thoroughly educating themselves on the subject, and learning to cut time with friends in order to practice their skill.
"It is extremely easy once you get to that point, and you can get anything you want out of them. And I know it might sound messed up, but once you get to that point, it’s not using. It’s not using a man, it’s literally getting what you want by any means necessary.”
Her comments did not sit well with people, believing her advice encouraged women to use their bodies to get ahead in life. This isn't the first time Rose confused others with her statements and movements, her infamous Slut Walk also received a mixed response from the digital public.
Twitter erupted with responses to her interview, most of them negative. Many social media users attributed her former work as a stripper and relationships with men in the music industry as weapons against her business tips.
