One Direction is embarking on a string of appearances to promote their new album, Made In The A.M., and most recently, they stopped by BBC Radio 1 for a chat with host, Nick Grimshaw. The interview was a goofy one, as the group joked around with fans and answered silly questions. Unfortunately for fans, Harry Styles was unable to speak throughout the entire interview per his doctor's orders, but he had downloaded a text-to-speech application on his phone so that he could answer questions.
Among some of the topics discussed were the "break" or as Styles typed into his phone, "hiatus." One of the more notable questions during the interview was, "If it were Groundhog Day and you had to sing one song over and over every day for the rest of your life, which one would it be?" After some dissension, the group decided on fan favorite, "Girl Almighty." The questions from fans were all viewed on video as they were being asked and also included a request for thoughts on who had changed the most in the five years that the band had been together.
Last week, it was reported that One Direction was doing numerous appearances to promote Made In The A.M., including a "40 for 40" live stream event for Good Morning America tomorrow (Nov. 17), a stint on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and a stop on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Made In The A.M. has been long anticipated but with its release, it's easy to wonder just how many more of these appearances the band will be making in the future. One Direction is set to go on an "indefinite" hiatus beginning in March of 2016. Their most highly anticipated performance is an appearance at the American Music Awards, where they have been nominated for two awards, including "Artist Of The Year" and "Favorite Pop Group," later this month (Nov. 22).
