Justin Bieber Holds Fan Q&A, Performs New 'Purpose' Songs in Los Angeles

On Nov. 13, the day his fourth studio album saw worldwide release, Justin Bieber held a Q&A session with eager fans who spewed an array of questions at the 21-year-old pop star, paired with a performance that boasted hits from Purpose at Los Angeles' Staples Center.

Throughout the 90-minute "An Evening with Justin Bieber" event, fan questions ranged from "Are you happy?" to wondering who the Canadian singer will marry. "I'm happy overall," Bieber responded, as Billboard notes. "I'm a little stressed out, but I'm happy. I'm just being honest." He did show a bit of annoyance when fans decided to throw objects up on stage, including a cell phone, as he warned the crowd to halt the hurling before returning the device. Another fan admitted to the "I'll Show You" singer that she skipped school to attend to event and asked for a picture together.

"I would say school is important, but this is probably a little more important," Bieber jokingly quipped. "Stay in school, kids."

His fans continued to roll out questions concerning putting his not so pleasant past behind him and gaining redemption for his actions. Even though the "Where Are U Now" singer has been involved in some awkward onstage encounters and unfavorable radio station interviews, the singer has completed his probation period after vandalizing his neighbors house with eggs.

"I just felt like I lost my place for a while," Bieber explained. "I lost my purpose, and I wanted to just be light and let people know that whether you don't feel like you have a purpose, whether you're just trying to figure it out, there's a light at the end of the tunnel."

Trailing the Q&A session, Bieber, alongside an acoustic guitarist, performed a string of five Purpose tracks including "What Do You Mean?" and "Sorry." Admitting that he was a bit unpracticed, the singer even managed to mix up the words to his own track, "Love Yourself," before launching into a few more tracks while riding his skateboard around the Staples Center stage.

According to the L.A. Times, the "Boyfriend" singer then chose one lucky female fan in the audience and serenaded her with 2009's My World track, "One Less Lonely Girl." "Keep being the best versions of yourselves," Bieber told the crowd as he left the stage. "I'm gonna try to do the same."
