Lady Gaga's weekend headline was that she got her septum pierced. On Monday, things were a little more music l when she told Women's Wear Daily some details about her upcoming single "Applause," the first from her upcoming fourth album "Artpop."
"I'll tell you that it is very fun," Gaga said. "And that it's full of happiness, because what I'm saying in the song essentially is that I live for the applause. I live for the way you cheer and scream for me. Give me that thing that I love. Put your hands up, make them touch."
If Gaga is so into applause, then she must be thrilled to come back from the hip injury that forced her to cut last year's tour short by 22 dates (not that it killed her financially; the star was still the highest-earning musician last year despite missing the shows). She says that the six months spent recovering from what she clarified was actually a broken hip, not just a labral tear as previously reported, allowed her to focus on the upcoming record.
