Miley Cyrus and the "Bangerz" tour have gotten caught up in Kansas and will be delayed for at least for a short time. The pop star was hospitalized due to a "severe allergic reaction to antibiotics" on Tuesday in Kansas City, MS and was forced to cancel her Tuesday night show at the Sprint Center in the same city.
Fans need not worry too much however: Cyrus isn't exactly in life-or-death straits. The performer took advantage of her situation to take part in the trend of taking selfies while hospitalized. The smiling Cyrus tweeted a picture from bed while dangling a green octopus toy in front of her face.
"Kansas I promise Im as (heartbroken) as you are. I wanted so badly 2 b there 2night. Not being with yall makes me feel s--ttier than I already do," she posted. "Mr. Octopussy & some amazing Drs are taking good care of me."
It certainly seems that Cyrus will be back on her feet in no time, but as our mother constantly reminds us, we're not doctors. Obviously Tuesday night's show was cancelled for the time being, but there hasn't been an official statement from the performer's team on whether more dates will suffer due to her malady. The performer is scheduled to appear Wednesday night at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis before heading toward a Friday night show at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.
UPDATE: Cyrus has tweeted that St. Louis's show will be cancelled as well..."the hospital is sayin i wont b released today therefore Im not going 2 make it 2 St Louis. Im so sorry but somethings are outta my control."
There haven't been any announcements yet as to whether Cyrus will find time to make up the cancelled show from Kansas City either.
