Disclosure: Magnets
The track kicks off with a Jersey club beat that has become popular for producers recently as they look for a way to vary bass lines within the 120-128 bpm range. Lorde's airy vocals then dominate the build as things turn into a more upbeat house track. A-Trak introduces a jogging bass line, with a pluck often found in a lot of future house tunes and this crescendos into a drop with high-pitched synth line over those groovy elements.
The original was already one of the standouts from the album had a lot of soul, while this remix is quite irresistible and is geared more towards the dancefloor.
Disclosure wrapped up their "Caracal North American Tour" last month that took them all over the United States and Canada, but was bookended by major arena gigs at the Staples Center and Madison Square Garden. In addition to Lorde, Caracal featured the likes Sam Smith, The Weeknd, Gregory Porter, Lion Babe and others.
A-Trak has been releasing quite a few tunes in 2015. The world champion DJ has released quite a few collaborations this year including the genre-bending "As Crazy As It Is" with ZHU and Kezmandi and "Action" with AraabMuzik and Ape Drums. He has also released a slew of remixes for the likes of Alesso "Cool" and The Chainsmokers "Let You Go."
No word on when this remix will be released, but stay tuned. The A-Trak comes just a short time after Disclosure released their own V.I.P. version of "Magnets."
