UK electronic group Underworld has announced the title, release date and tracklist for their ninth artist album titled Barbara Barbara, we face a shining future. In addition to the brand new album, Underworld has unveiled seven new European tour dates for 2016 in support of the album.
Barbara Barbara, we face a shining future will be released on March 18, 2016 via Caroline International. The seven track album will be the group's first LP since their 2010 effort Barking.
The group officially formed in 1987, nearly 30 years ago and released their first album Underneath the Radar one year later. Since then, Underworld has had six different members leave and released an additional seven albums. The group is celebrated as one of the great modern British bands, becoming especially famous for their track "Born Slippy" after it was featured in the iconic film Trainspotting. They performed during opening ceremonies of the 2012 Summer Olympics.
Underworld has announced a brief tour in support of the album. The seven European dates will kick off the day before the LP's release at the Columbia Halle in Berlin before doing shows in Belgium, Netherlands and two shows in their home country of England at the Roundhouse in London.
