Kendrick Lamar dropped his verse on Big Sean's "Control" last August and he's still ruffling feathers for his game-changing bars.
Jay Electronica recently logged on and went in on what seemed to be a drunken Twitter rant and he even took a jap at K Dot in the process.
While going in on various subjects such as artists and journalists he respects, to those he does not, he even took the time to answer a few questions from his followers.
Things got pretty interesting when one brave soul dared to ask who had the best verse on "Control."
Jay pretty much hung Lamar out to dry, tweeting, "me, big sean then kendrick. he really didn't say anything."
Someone who happened to catch Jay's tweet chimed in asking, "Shots fired or nah?"
Jay promptly responded claiming "no shots." He then went on to express that he wants K Dot's labelmate Ab-Soul to sign with Roc Nation.
It seems as though Jay Electronica's opinion of Kendrick's "Control" verse may have changed. Last year Jay spoke with Vibe magazine about the verse.
"It's a good thing; it's a good thing for hip-hop music because hip-hop has been lying dormant for a long time," he said. "Peace to the young gods, Kendrick Lamar, TDE, Ab-Soul, Schoolboy Q, Jay Rock, Joey Bada$; peace to the young gods."
Big Sean has also been verbal with his opinion of K Dot's verse and he's siding with Jay.
Back in August, Hollywood Life reported Big Sean said his verse was "harder."
"I'm a good a** rapper," he adds. "Big Sean got bars...Listen to everything. Listen to 'Control.' I feel like my verse was harder."
