El-P and Killer Mike shared a short teaser clip on Instagram yesterday of the follow-up to Run the Jewels, promised for 2014. Now, they've shared a few photos from inside their studio sessions.
Two notable people in the photo include Rage Against the Machine frontman Zach De La Rocha and Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker. According to the Instagram caption, "Yes it is really happening," it seems like the both men will be appearing on the album.
Barker also wrote on his account, "In the studio listening to #RunTheJewels2 with @killermikegto #ELP and #ZachDeLaRocha. Nuthin short of amazing."
In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Killer Mike spoke about the direction of the album. "[Run the Jewels 2 is] much darker and much harder than I thought it would be," he said. "It's pushed me into some darker crevices of my personality. We're knee-deep in creating," he adds "Throwing flows and patterns out, just picking beats we like. It's all pretty instinctual. We're just in there rapping like rapid dogs right now. Neither one of us are resting on our laurels."
