Boosie Badazz: diagnosed with kidney cancer
On Saturday (Dec. 5), Boosie took to Facebook to share a message to his fans, who have grown increasingly concerned since the now-deleted announcement.
The post reads,” Thank u for the love and support. Im having a quick surgery next week but I won’t lose my kidney. I shouldn’t be down long at all.”

Boosie’s original Instagram post remains on his account but without the striking caption, which read, ""I need all my fans to pray for me doctors told me I have cancer on my kidneys prayer is power that's why I'm letting the world know."
The "Wipe Me Down" rapper has reportedly been living with diabetes for some time. Earlier this year, Boosie was hospitalized for dehydration after a string of shows.
In May, Boosie released Touchdown 2 Cause Hell, his first album in five years, since his release from prison in March 2014. The rapper served a 52-month sentence for a drug conviction and probation violation. The album also serves as a follow-up to 2010's Incarcerated. That same year, he was indicted on first-degree murder and drug charges. He was found guilty of the latter and eventually sentenced to eight years in prison.
On Halloween, he released his Thrilla mixtape, which features guest spots from Webbie, Snootie Wild, Rich Homie Quan and more.
Aside from working on his own music, Boosie has been running his record label, Bad Azz Music Syndicate. He opened up about his latest venture during an interview with Vibe.
"We are building and we gon' keep building until it's over," he said. "We're gonna be in the grave, and Boosie's music, the Bad Azz Music Syndicate, will still be getting played."
Since his release from prison, Boosie has also launched his Jewel House clothing line.
