TIDAL continues to try and differentiate itself from other streaming services like Spotify, Apple Music, Pandora and SoundCloud and one way it has found a way to gain a slight edge is by having its artist owners throw special concerts for TIDAL fans. The Jay Z-bought streaming service recently announced its new partnership with the Barclays Center in Brooklyn as a place to host concert and it has unveiled the lineup and date for the first one. Deadmau5, Pusha T and D.R.A.M. will headline the first concert in the theater, which will take place on Dec. 18.
The show will be technically headlined by mau5 and King Push, while D.R.A.M. is joined by Justine Skye, The Cold Seas and Slonk Donkerson as part of the TIDAL Rising Acts.
Complimentary tickets have been made available for TIDAL members as of today, Monday Dec. 7 at 4 p.m. EST. Tomorrow, Tuesday, Dec. 8 at 4 p.m. EST a limited supply of tickets will go on sale to the general public through ticket master.
This will be the second big concert held at Barclays Center this year, but the first as part of the theater series. In October, TIDAL hosted their TiDAL X 1020 charity show with a mind-numbing number of guests from the rising acts category and many more established names like Rick Ross, Beyoncé, Nicki Minaj, Jay Z and French Montana.
Now fans get an opportunity to see a more intimate atmosphere with deadmau5, who is used to playing to arenas and festival main stages. Zimmerman has not contributed too much to the TIDAL cause so far, but this will be user's first big opportunity to get something exclusive from him.
Pusha T is gearing up for the release of his album King Push, so he might decide to drop something exclusive for his fans on the stream.
The show and livestream will begin at 7 p.m. EST on Friday, Dec. 18.
