Bonehead explains Liam Gallagher's 'OASIS' tweet

Last night, Liam Gallagher sparked rumors that his former band Oasis might be reuniting. He took to Twitter and spelled out the letters O, A, S, I and S over the course of a few hours then followed up with a post simply stating, "OASIS LG."

Fans were understandably excited and began asking whether Oasis were getting back together.

The former guitarist of the Manchester four-piece spoke to NME about the tweet, saying that he and Gallagher had been in a pub together that night but Gallagher never mentioned the cryptic tweets.

"What did he tweet, was it regarding fig rolls or something? There were no fig rolls involved officer," he told them, adding that nostalgia could've had a hand in the tweets. "[It was] probably the fact that I texted him going, 'Meet me in the beer garden.' That probably rattled his cage. I don't know though, because I meet him every f**king month. Maybe he's just reminiscing."

As NME points out, Bonehead then took to his own Twitter account to spell out the word "pub."

Alas, it appears that there won't be an Oasis reunion after all.
