Adele: new album 25
25 leads the pack, but Adele isn't the only late-debuting album to bring in massive sales. As The Toronto Star reports, other November releases such as Justin Bieber's Purpose and One Direction's Made in the A.M. also made the list, at Nos. 3 and 17, respectively.
But other albums on the list had more time to sit, such as Drake's January mixtape If You're Reading This It's Too Late as well as 2014 favorites such as Taylor Swift's 1989, Ed Sheeran's x and Hozier's self-titled debut, all of which landed in the top 10.
Furthermore, while Mark Ronson's Bruno Mars collaboration "Uptown Funk" ruled the singles chart alongside tracks from Wiz Khalifa, OMI and Andy Grammer, those albums are nowhere to be found on this list. Instead, cuts from favorite album-centric artists and critically-acclaimed lists appear here, such as Mumford & Sons' Wilder Mind, Kendrick Lamar's To Pimp a Butterfly and soundtracks from Fifty Shades of Grey and Guardians of the Galaxy.
