Paul Simon and Edie Brickell release acoustic duet, 'Like To Get To Know You' [LISTEN]

As previously reported, Paul Simon and his wife Edie Brickell were arrested over the weekend and charged with disorderly conduct. The couple, who has been married since 1992, appeared in court on Wednesday to defend the charges against them. While holding hands, they said that they didn't feel threatened by one another despite the domestic dispute, Billboard reports.

According to Fox News, Brickell told police that she confronted Simon "on something which he'd done that broke her heart." Their report states that Simon has suffered a superficial cut to his ear and Brickell had a bruise on her wrist and a lump on her head.

Sgt. Joseph Farenga wrote in his report obtained by Fox that "No matter how much I asked Brickell if Simon had injured her more than what I saw on her wrist, she would not say that he did and there was no evidence to suggest the lump on her head was caused by Simon or that it occurred that night."

However, it appears as if all is settled between them as they've now released a new song called "Like To Get To Know You."

On the three-minute acoustic track, the couple sings a duet about feeling estranged and noticing other couples getting along. "I wouldn't trade places with anyone, none of them," they sing. "Cause I'd like to get to know you again."
