Ab-Soul recently gave an update on his forthcoming album, and it seems he's really anxious for fans to hear his new music.
He sent out a tweet that sent shockwaves through his fan base.
"I'm this close to just leakin my shit like its a mixtape....," Ab-Soul tweeted out Thursday (May 1).
As previously reported, Soul is still unsure as to when fans can expect the album but he is offering up something for the wait.
"Since my release date has yet to be determined I've added a few more songs to my original track list...," he tweeted last month.
TDE has released two albums this year and the label plans to drop albums from the rest of the roster as well.
"@justsza Z 4.8.14, @abdashsoul ,@jayrock and @kendricklamar coming soon be patient...#TDE #0XYMORON #CilviaDemo OUT NOW!," TDE CEO Anthony "Top Dawg" Tiffith tweeted.
While TDE listeners await the release of Ab's album, they can expect a Kendrick Lamar album in September.
"In 2014, TDE hopes to lock and load its most ambitious slate of releases: Rashad and the label's first nonrap signing, New Jersey-based female singer-songwriter SZA, will be coming with albums, as will original team members Jay Rock and Ab-Soul," Billboard reported. "Meanwhile, Free thinks the long-awaited debut from Black Hippy - the supergroup featuring Lamar, Q, Rock and Ab-Soul - is likely to appear in 2014; Tiffith indicates that TDE is planning to release a new Lamar album this coming September, too."
Hold tight for Ab-Soul's album and check out "Tree of Life."
