Coldplay dedicated ‘Fix You’ to grieving Mick Jagger at their New York concert

Last night at their New York concert, Coldplay dedicated its slow-burning "Fix You" to Mick Jagger. Chris Martin told the crowd, "It's for Mick Jagger," before launching into the song about recovering from loss, Huffington Post reports.

Jagger has been mourning the loss of his longtime girlfriend, fashion designer L'Wren Scott, who committed suicide in March. A memorial was held for her in New York last week.

Their set at the Beacon Theatre also included hits such as "Speed of Sound," "Clocks" and "Viva La Vida"and dance tracks such as "Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall."

They even shared some songs off their upcoming Paul Epworth-produced album, Ghost Stories, such as the single "Magic," "A Sly Full of Stars" and "True Love," for which Martin asked the crowed not to film and post on YouTube.

"[This] is the best song off our new album that no one else has heard yet," he said. "Sometimes you have to keep these things to yourself."

The group's sixth studio album, Ghost Stories, is due out May 19 via Atlantic. The album is preceded by the singles "Magic," "Midnight" and "A Sky Full of Stars." Listen to them below, and let us know what you think in the comments section!
