Where in the world is Ja? It is the question everyone must ask themselves each morning and apparently the BBC was doing the same recently. They found Ja Rule are putting those talented vocal chords to good use for some Christmas cheer. They asked the "Mesmerize" rapper to read How The Grinch Stole Christmas for their listeners online and put it on YouTube for everyone to hear.
Everyone knows the story, so there is no need to recount what happens, but just imagine it with a bit of different feel as you can imagine maybe the Grinch with a little more swagger or a deeper voice as he goes about his dastardly deeds in stealing Christmas. In Ja's mind, the Grinch is probably one of his rap foes like 50 Cent, so this reading took on a different meaning for him.
Ja Rule please don't ever stop being you and some brand needs to sign him up to do voice acting on a consistent basis.
This reading is up there with DMX's rendition of "Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer" that he did three years ago. It became a viral sensation and is still very relevant today as a mark of peak internet greatness.
Now we just need some more rappers like DMX and Ja Rule to push out holiday and family friendly content for everyone to hear.
Despite not releasing much in the way of music, Ja had himself a solid year. He became a political commentator and filmed an MTV reality show Follow The Rules.
Merry Christmas everyone from us and from Ja.
