Bonnaroo announces 2014 SuperJam artists

Bonnaroo SuperJams are one of the most magical things about the festival. It brings together a variety of musicians across a variety of genres and puts them on one stage together. This year, Bonnaroo promises three different SuperJams over the course of four days, and now the lineup for each has been revealed.

The most talked about SuperJam takes place on Saturday nights and is hosted by Skrillex. At first I was confused how an electronic artist would put together a massive jam session, but now that his team has been announced, it's starting to make more sense. The EDM giant will be joined by an eclectic and talented group of musicians including Janelle Monae, Chance the Rapper, Warpaint, Thundercat, Robby Krieger of the Doors, Damien "Jr. Gong" Marley, Big Gigantic, Zedd, Mickey Hart of The Grateful Dead, and more.

For a more traditional SuperJam, Friday night features a mix of jam and blues musicians including Derek Trucks and his wife/collaborator Susan Tedeschi, Chaka Khan, Andrew Bird, Ben Folds, David Hidalgo of Los Lobos, Taj Mahal, Adam Deitch, Eric Krasno, and more.

Finally, Sunday's SuperJam is hosted by comedian turned bluegrass musician Ed Helms and includes Dierks Bently, Lake Street Drive, Shovels & Rope, Robert Ellis, The Black Lillies, Robert Ellis, Della Mae, Bryan Sutton, The Lone Bellow, Sarah Jarosz, The Lonesome Trio and Dave Johnston of Yonder Mountain String Band.

Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival takes place June 12-15 in Manchester, TN. The lineup also includes Jack White, Kanye West, Elton John, Vampire Weekend, Frank Ocean, Arctic Monkeys, Nick Cave, Phoenix, Lionel Ritchie, Neutral Milk Hotel, Cake, Damon Albarn and many others. Tickets are still available on the festival's website.
