OK Go announce new album 'Hungry Ghosts' for October alongside tour and funky pre-order

It's been four years since OK Go released its trippy third studio album Of The Blue Colour Of The Sky, but now those treadmill running, paint covered, car driving indie rockers are back. Earlier this week, the band announced its fourth studio album Hungry Ghosts for October, and in true OK Go style, it did so with a bang. Which is to say, OK Go announced a bunch of exclusive pre-order packages for its fans and a tour in addition to a new album title and release date.

According to OK Go's official website, Hungry Ghosts is due to hit stores on Oct. 17. The new LP is teased not just with a behind-the-scenes video featuring new music, but OK Go will also be dropping a four-song EP on June 17 featuring songs from the album.

Leading up to the record release date, OK Go will be allowing fans to pre-order the album in a variety of creative ways, offering everything from digital downloads to signed vinyls to a spot in the band's upcoming music video through PledgeMusic. These items get pricey, with a live acoustic set from OK Go running $10,000, an extra gig in a music video for $5,000 and a custom piece of video art for $7,000 boasting the biggest price tags, but for hardcore fans, there's some pretty cool stuff on the way (with more on the horizon).

In addition to a new album, pre-order and release date, OK Go announced a string of North American tour dates for the summer. As of now, the 15 tour dates focus largely on the West Coast and Midwest, but more dates are expected to follow in the coming weeks.
