Usher is ending 2015 with a bang. Tonight (Dec. 30) the "Confessions" singer will have a live stream of his concert which will air exclusively on TIDAL. The live stream starts at 6:15 p.m. on hip-hop mogul Jay-Z's music service.
Usher recently released his song "Chains" with NAS and Bibi Bourelly which he performed at Tidal's X 1020 concert. His most recent song strays away from the upbeat ones everyone knows Usher for and instead was created to put a spotlight on racial profiling and police brutality.
"We're still in chains / You put the shame on us," Usher sings, his newest song also tackles the nations gun issue, "Moment of silence / American school and we in church too / Shooting, shooting, shooting, we the prey."
The song was released exclusively on Tidal along with an interactive video that utilizes the viewer's webcams along with facial recognition technology. The technology in the interactive video forces the viewer to watch what is happening in the video and pauses when their eyes stray away from it and will not play until they start watching again.
Music has not been the only thing that has kept Usher busy this year. Over Labor Day he wed his longtime girlfriend Grace Miguel secretly in Cuba.
Since he released "Chains" through Tidal, he may perform new music at the upcoming concert tonight or announce new music for 2016. The only way to find out is to watch. You can go to www.tidal.com to find out more information and watch the live stream tonight.
