Mothers make the world go round, especially in hip-hop. When it comes to the rap game, there is no one more important than mom.
In fact it's quite common for rappers to dedicate a verse or even a full track to their No. 1 lady, and it even helps for those of us who aren't able to put words together so eloquently.
While Tupac's "Dear Mama" still serves as the go to track to show appreciation to those who brought us into the world, countless other tracks have followed suit.
With that being said, check out Mashable's list of songs for mom here. The list includes lyrics from Brand Nubian, Drake, Ghostface Killah and Nas.
As previously reported, Eminem plans to join the list of rappers making a dedication to mom through music, despite their rocky past.
The Detroit rapper has released the video/short film for his track "Headlights."
"But as stubborn as we are, did I take it too far, 'Cleaning Out My Closet'/ And all them other songs, but regardless I don't hate you/ 'Cause ma, you're still beautiful to me, 'cause you're my mom," he raps on the track.
The release is sure to make you tear up.
In a preview for the video, Spike Lee spoke on the concept saying, "I really love the narrative for what we came up for 'Headlights.' It's a really great story. It's heartfelt. There's some pain in it but that's life. That's why we're here."
