Last night (Jan. 5) in Los Angeles, Courtney Love performed a ragged cover of Radiohead's classic song, "Creep," for the those in attendance at a private party, and let's just say that she wasn't as graceful as Thom Yorke.
According to Yahoo, the party was thrown by famed producer Linda Perry at the intimate No Name club which has a max capacity of 150. The event was held to celebrate the success of Perry's song with Miley Cyrus called "Hands of Love," which also appears in Julianne Moore/Ellen Page's film, Freeheld. The song has reportedly been streamed 8 million times by Spotify users.
Among the evening's elite invitees was Love's daughter Frances Bean Cobain, who later professed her love for her mom to Twitter, stating "I got to watch my mom be the badass she is & destroy Creep by @radiohead tonight. Love you kooksmcgee."
On Christmas, Love posted a photo of her and Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain holding their daughter, thanking him for giving her the best gift she could ever ask for. Between the photo and Frances' tweet, it appears that the two are repairing their rocky relationship.
As for new music, the sometimes emotional and often outspoken rock star released a brand new single titled "Miss Narcissist" back in May via Wavves' independent label Ghost Ramp, which is one of a few singles she released since her former band, Hole, disbanded once again in late 2012.
There has been no update on a new solo record or on a Hole reunion as of yet, but more is sure to be revealed. A new solo record would serve as the singer's sophomore record and follow-up to 2004 debut album, America's Sweetheart.
