Henry Rollins Removes 'Very Intelligent' Morrissey from Kill List, But Two People Remain

In a new interview, ex-Black Flag frontman Henry Rollins has retracted some previous comments he had made about former The Smiths singer Morrissey, who he now refers to as "very intelligent," updating his apparent existing "kill list."

Rollins' original comments came during a video interview much earlier in his career, the clip of which can be seen below. "In my opinion, Morrissey just embodies every horrible trait that a human can possibly possess," he says. "I mean, he's British and they don't have to work very hard. They have a handicap anyway. You notice that all the great musicians who were English moved."

He had also added that he would enjoy watching Moz "doused in gasoline and set on fire."

In a new interview with The Guardian, Rollins took back his previous comments about the singer, suggesting that he is "very intelligent" and has "a good taste in music." He adds that his previous comments were "poorly meant" but he cherishes the fact that we get to "evolve."

"There are definitely some people I wouldn’t mind seeing burned to death – I absolutely have a kill list," he proclaimed. "But not good old Morrissey. I think the world is a much better place with him in it."

When asked who currently remains on his kill list, Rollins very freely elaborated, stating "Just people who need to get got. And there’s two for sure. There are different grades. There are a few people who could do with losing a hand. And I’d happily carry the petrol can, the cleaver, whatever it takes. As far as the kill list goes, though, there are two who’ve REALLY gotta go. Every day I don’t get them I consider a partial failure."

Due to the fact that the aggressive Rollins, whose former punk outfit Black Flag became famous for songs like "Rise Above," recently spoke ill of the U.S. Republican Presidential Candidate Donald Trump, could Trump be one of the two people on his list? Regardless, all we can do is do our best not to make the dreaded list... or else.

You can get a glimpse of Rollins' soft side by watching him decorate a gingerbread house in the clip below, which was aired by The Late Show With Stephen Colbert late last year just in time for Christmas.
