The Last Shadow Puppets Release Video For Infectious New Single 'Bad Habits' [WATCH]

The Last Shadow Puppets, a side project of the Arctic Monkeys' Alex Turner, along with Miles Kane, have unleashed a brand new official music video for their infectious new single "Bad Habits," their first new music together in nearly 8 years.

The video, which was directed by Ben Chappell, features the two icons playing the song together and fooling around, recruiting Arcade Fire's Owen Pallett to man some instrumentals, including strings. The thick bass line keeps the song moving steadily while Kane's vocals seem to have a newfound power behind them, most likely courtesy of some stadium-sized Arctic Monkeys influence.

The band had been teasing a new album for some time now, previously leaking a teaser clip late last year that now turns out to be a teaser for this music video. The album is rumored to have been produced by James Ford, most known for his role in Simian Mobile Disco, who had also divulged during an interview that the album had been completed under his watch sometime last year.

In a fit of excitement last year, Pallett had also hinted via Twitter that the album, which they were apparently working on at the time, was achieving some "classic status," however he had deleted the Tweet shortly after speculation began to run rampant.

The new album will serve as a follow-up to 2008's The Age of The Understatement. While the band has not yet revealed an official release date, aside from hints at a Spring 2016 release, its lead single "Bad Habits" is currently available for purchase via iTunes. The band is scheduled to appear at this year's Coachella Music & Arts Festival in April.
